At-Risk Birds and Forest Bird Biodiversity Monitoring on Your Woodlot Workshop Saturday, July 26, 2025, 9am-2pm (rain date: July 27) Meeting at the Glencoe Hall in Glencoe Mills, NS Presenters: Dr. Cindy Staicer, Dalhousie University Ruthe Macaulay & Bill Oprel, woodlot stewards Join us at the woodlot of Ruthe Macaulay & Bill Oprel near Glencoe Mills, Inverness Co. for a workshop for woodlot owners and anyone interested in learning more about forest birds. We will be focusing on SAR and forest birds, using ARUs (autonomous recording units) to learn about and monitor birds, and ecological forestry practices. 9:00 am- Registration at hall (washrooms available) 9:30 am- Carpool to woodlot 10:00 am- Start of workshop 2:00 am- End of workshop |
A free BBQ lunch will be available. Please let us know in the registration form below if you have any dietary restrictions.
Families and children are welcome, but no dogs please.
Washrooms will be available at the Glencoe Hall upon arrival, but there are no washrooms available on site.
